Playing with fine Swarovski crystals, smooth sterling and quality lampwork brings me 'creative-satisfaction' like nothing else in the world. Then again, I do have a lust for paper and rubber stamps that keeps me from being 100% faithful to my jewelry line... I have narrowed my art appreciation to these things, but still seem to find myself dabbling with yarn and embroidery floss now and then, too! |

I am an interdisciplinary designer from Indiana, the land of cornfields and pollen. My BFA was earned from Finlandia University ISAD in Hancock, Michigan. I had several works included in the annual Finlandia University Juried Student Art and Design Exhibition, receiving numerous awards in both Digital Art and Interdisciplinary Design categories. For my glass art I use an oxygen/natural gas torch to melt glass and form it into beautiful beads. Many techniques resemble gardens of flowers in glass, raked and marblized designs that are like ancient beads from centuries ago. Most of my beads are sold to designers who add their creative style to them. Up until just a few years ago my work centered around designing and illustrating costumes for the theater. But the hectic and fast-paced world that I worked in left me with no time to explore the other areas of art that I have been interested in, namely landscapes, portraits, wildlife, etc,- basically everything that had nothing to do with theater.
I am always in search of a new project and the types of projects that I am involved in can, in many ways, become larger than life, and that is apparent on the canvas. |

I have studied at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Art Institute of Indianapolis, and Art Institute Online, At each of these institutions of higher learning I was educated to think about why I create, what I create. I work with both film and digital cameras and equipment.. I shoot black & white film and tint canvas prints, along with giclee prints.I also do large scale color or black & white gallery wrap and stretched canvas from 5x7 to any size requested. I use 100% cotton canvas and archival quality papers and mats. I print using decorative papers, handmade papers, Japanese fiber, Cotton Satin fabric, wallpaper, Mural wallcoverings.

I have been doing crafts/arts since 1965. I began by working in the textile arts, through knitting, crochet, tatting and crewel. I now design clothing items, afghans and lace coverlets and curtains. During the 1980’s, I tried a number of weaving techniques and expressions but settled on the creation/design of rag rugs.

It is not rare that I on occasion shall choose to go wait in a lobby just for the satisfaction of drawing all of the characters waiting still. I am a full time college student studying psychology, while passionately practicing art. All media pleases me for experimentation and I am quite creatively skilled. However I am best with pen and ink, ceramic, and watercolor. As far as performing arts I have experience both on stage and on the stage crew; when the curtain is called both are just as gratifying. I create heirloom quality jewelry using glass, beach glass, stone, semi-precious stones and vintage pieces to be cherished for many generations to come. It is my desire that my pieces will be passed on from generation to generation.
