AFTLS sends five professional actors (from such prestigious companies such as the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal National Theatre of Great Britain, and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre) to your campus for an unforgettable one-week dual-focus residency experience. I photograph architectural elements found locally and in my journeys; the resulting photographs are colorful. I create intaglio prints that employ text with imagery using contemporary non-toxic techniques that permit photo-imagery.

I construct rustic willow furniture from native willow which I gather locally. This follows a tradition of folk art that is influenced by Gypsy and Adirondack styles. I have a rustic furniture shop at 7th and Main in Lapel in a 1890's grocery store building from the gas boom era.

I try to use illustration to create emotion, tell stories or be visually appealing for a variety of medium and applications. I have been a freelance illustrator since 1999. I am internationally published and have won several awards. I also offer several teaching methods displaying art as was seen in several historic eras including American Civil War and 15th century European.

As Marc Chagall once said, "I work in whatever medium likes me at the moment." I have worked in oil painting, ceramics, fused glass, and lately, the exciting new medium of Precious Metal Clay. Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is pulverized silver, an organic binder, and water, which can be formed and manipulated like ceramic clay. Once fired in a kiln the binders burn away and the silver particles fuse together. The resulting object is .999 FINE silver.
