Arts Place, Inc. seeks artists to serve as resident instructors for Arts in the Parks, a summer youth program offered in June and July in five counties in East Central Indiana & West Central Ohio. Residencies typically last from one to two weeks, rarely running throughout the program. Teaching Artists conduct classes and workshops in visual arts, music, dance, multi-arts, and theater. Residencies include stipend, access to studios, and on-site residency mileage. Housing with carefully selected local host families is provided. Four-year degree or equivalent experience required, with internships available for highly qualified undergraduates. Minimum rate for Teaching Artists will be $500 per week with more for experience and/or additional training. Teaching Artists generally are assigned 25 contact hours per week, but this is also negotiable.
