Description

To promote and implement education in the field of the arts, whereby the esthetic level of the community may be raised. To promote cooperation among professional and amateur artists of the community. To stimulate the creative urge of the artist and encourage him/her in his/her efforts. To foster the highest standards of art. To promote public interest in the appreciation of the arts. To promote a suitable place for artist to meet, work and display their art.

Background

Hobart Arts League has been in existance since the 1970's as a gathering place for visual artists to promote their artwork in a gallery setting. The League has lectures, demonstrations and art related events for the public as well as it's members and sponsors the arts in grade and high schools

Fees

fees vary from per session to 5 week courses. Ex.: $16 per class for member ($21 non-member) or can be paid on monthly basis. (4weeks). Contact the League for more information about instructional fees.

HAL's phone number is (219) 942-3834. There is an answering machine for messages which is checked daily. HAL, also, offers classes Monday through Friday in various media with award winning instructors. You can email the League for further information as to dates and time.
