Description

I am always up to a new challenge artistically . I enjoy painting in all medium from water color to oil and have tried my hand at wood carving and calligraphic lettering arts as well as the more crafted style of Swedish Rosemaling. I direct and perform in local community theatre groups and have enjoyed being a featured vocalist with The Voices of Franklin for over 11 yrs. I have been the creative artist for Clearview Christmas Tree Farms for over 17 yrs.

Background

I grew up in an artistic family being the 5th generation of self taught artisan - I have won various awards for my portrait and scenic work - I taught calligraphic art for a semester at a private school and have coached various theatrical workshops. My training comes mostly from family. I studied music as a child for 7 yrs. I was first runner up in the (this dates me) Young American Sings contest in the 70's, I won a local "Musical Idol" contest and my crowning achievements recently have been directing "Fiddler ON The Roof" and "Leading Ladies" for local community theatres.
