   2 p.m.
Celebrate Black History Month by embarking on a journey through time on Saturday, February 4 at 2 p.m. with Indianapolis author Lois Burnett-Guyinn. Discover inventions and contributions of African American inventors, scientists, engineers and architects as she reads from her book, Mrs. Townsend's Class. Meet creative characters such as Carbon Filament, Shoe Lasting Machine, the Ice Cream Cones, Traffic Signal and Railway Telegraph. Lois Burnett-Guyinn's vision for Mrs. Townsend's Class came from a desire to teach her children about the role their ancestors played in the making of our great country.
