The Indiana Coalition for the Arts Foundation is offering a series of workshops at different locations across the state this spring at an affordable price! ARTS ADVOCACY 101: A Practical Workshop "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead Presenter: Sally Gaskill. This workshop will answer the following questions and more: Why bother to become politically active? When is the best time to advocate and how do I do it? What is the difference between lobbying and advocacy? What is legal and what is not? How do I make my case for support? What are the best ways to contact my local, state and federal elected officials? How can arts supporters work together to strengthen public funding for the arts in Indiana?
