Presented By Jasper Community Arts Commission
Sat, 04/03/2004 Theater Event
   8:00 PM
The one-man play VINCENT opened March 1981 at the prestigious Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, starring Leonard Nimoy, who had spent years researching and writing it. It subsequently ran on Broadway where it became a smash hit and was aired by PBS. Jim Jarrett was introduced to VINCENT in 1994 and spent more than two and a half years preparing for "the role of a lifetime". Told from the perspective of Theo, Vincent Van Gogh's brother who supported Vincent's entire career both financially and emotionally, VINCENT is the story of an artistic genius full of passsion and integrity and one of the world's loneliest, most misunderstood souls and the incredible relationship between himself and his brother.
