Date: Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004 Place: Indiana University Northwest, Library, Gary, IN. Time: Noon to 7:00 pm. Fund Raiser! We invite cooks to prepare your recipes for patrons to sample & let them decide who's the best cook in the Gumbo/Chili competition. Register in advance to participate by calling 219-882-2787, Deadline February 7, 2004. Other areas of competition: Poetry Slam Youth Division 6 to 18 and an Adult Division, all comers to cite original works. Entertainers; singers, rappers, hip-hop, musicians, dancers, etc. To perform you must register in advance, call 219-882-2787 for info. Theater Workshop featuring Geri Carter fee to attend $12 advance, $16 at the door Feb 21, 2004 IUN Library. Also Featuring: An Art Ehibit and Silent Auction, featuring works of World Renown Folk Artist, Dr. Charles Smith.
