Description
I'm a professional watercolorist specializing in architectural, floral and mechanical subject matters painted in a traditional impressionistic style yet with strong abstractions underlying the composition and overall design. I also am a psychotherapist in private practice specializing in the use of art therapy techniques.
Background
I have been accepted in numerous Hoosier Salon Shows since 1984 and have periodically taken prizes. In addition, I've been accepted in numerous Indiana Artist Club juried shows since 1985 and have taken prizes periodically. I've shown and been a member of the Watercolor Society of Indiana since its beginning in I believe 1986 and I am a signature member there as well as taking prizes in their shows. I was named by Indianapolis Woman in 1995 as one of Indiana top 10 most collectible women artists. I was chosen for 3rd place in Windsor and Newtons Arts Goes on Holiday juried international show in 1998. More recently I've been chosen to appear in Feb. 2004 Art Business News, Trendsetter/Emerging Artist section. I will also be featured in an article in Summer 2004, Informart Magazine.
