Description
Andy is a classical guitarist. He joined the Music Department at Taylor University, Upland, Indiana in Fall 2007 as Guitar Instructor. Andy maintains a teaching studio at Arts Place, Inc. I enjoy playing guitar for events both private and public events and offer several options: gutar, guitar-voice duo and guitar duo, or guest performances with chamber groups or orchestras.
Background
Andy began studying classical guitar in 2001. He is currently majoring in classical guitar performance at Ball State University, studying with Paul Reilly. Andy studied guitar with Sharon Isbin (2006, 2007, 2008) and Marco Cappelli (2006) at Aspen Music Festival School. Past teachers include Petar Jankovic and Atanas Tzvetkov at Indiana University and his first classical guitar teacher Ner Rojas. He has also performed in master classes for Oscar Ghiglia at The New York Guitar Seminar at Mannes, and Daniel Boring and Murray Holland at Cincinnati Conservatory of Music Classical Guitar Workshop. Andy has given many solo and ensemble recitals, including recitals featuring students of Sharon Isbin at Aspen Music Festival.
