| Description |
| My shows are intense, very funny, compelling and deal with themes best suited for grown ups. I combine dance, mime, personal story, sound and theatre to create solo, improvisational movement theater. My work is usually improvised or based on a structured improvisation. Themes I have addressed solo improvisational shows have included "coping with dying parents" and "coming of age". |
| Background |
| Nell Weatherwax holds a BA in Movement Theatre (Individualized Major Program) and an MA in Counseling, both from Indiana University. As a student, teacher and performer of movement theater for most of her adult life, she draws from a variety of disciplines to teach and perform.
As a mime and performance artist, Nell has performed and taught in schools throughout Indiana with support from the Indiana Arts Commission. In 1992 she co-founded What If... InterAction Theater, an improv-based educational theater company still serving at-risk youth and adults in Indiana.
Most recently she performed her solo improv show for the Bloomington Playwright's Project Dark Alley Series.

| I perform and teach improvisational movement theatre that interweaves dance, personal story, and mime into a very physically expressive form that captures the essence of the image with words and movement. I teach an exhilarating class on expressive, physical storytelling and improvisation which enhances community and expands the movement skills of even seasoned actors. |

| Availability |
| I am available weekends and evenings. With at least 3 weeks notice I can be available for up to a week at at time, depending on the time of year. |
| Fees |
| All fees are negotiated depending on the situation. Classes are $15 per person per 90 minutes session with a minimum of 90 minutes and 6 students. Private coaching is $50 per hour. Improvisational performances are $500 per hour-long show. Commissioned structured improvisational performances are negotiable starting at $700 per hour-long show. |
