Everybody that knows me will tell you that I have been drawing and painting my whole life. Teaching myself the traditional skills of drawing from life, figure studies, portraits and painting with oil or acrylic on canvas and other media served to propel me forward to experiment with new techniques in watercolor, pastels and even airbrush. All of these illustrative skills prepared me for a future in graphic design & illustration.

My proudest achievement in my artistic career was when I designed & created two of the top ten Mastodons (out of 101.) for IPFW's Mastodons on Parade 2005. I'm also proud to have worked with numerous schools, churches & organizations by donating my artwork and time. I am currently without a full time job, but am freelancing.

I prefer to work with pastels/chalk and water-color in various ways that are total opposite from one another. I prefer to create non-technical forms of art using water-color but prefer to use pastels/chalk in creating technical images that specifically involve the manipluation of vanishing points within a perspective centered creation.

I do a lot of mixed media work. I take found objects, painted abstracly forms and make a collage with them. I make it a scene such as a family photo or a day in the park. I use a lot of scrapbooking elemnts to help aid in the scenery. I also so oil paintings featuring circles and lots of textures. I focus my acylic painting on small works on paper and this allows me to experiment with new methods of applications. I like to add found objects to the small works as well.
